Avi Cohen

I am an avid computer techie who is inspired to always learn and solve problems. I constantly look at new skills to acquire from woodworking to electrical engineering. I often find myself reading articles online or watching DIY (Do It Yourself) videos on the most random topics. I have a strong background in computer science and have always wanted to pursue a degree in biomedical engineering. After exploring those options, I found my calling in Interventional Pulmonology where the newest technology is pushed to the limits to innovate the field.

I pride myself in trying to find the most efficient and productive approach to completing my tasks. I find that the field of medicine is quite fragmented internally but even more so externally. The people who design the tools for our field are often far removed from the profession itself. The reason I am interested in healthcare innovation is to bring it a step closer to home. By being directly involved in the field, I think I will be able to tremendously contribute to the field
