Suzanne Ankawi

I began my healthcare career back in 2009 as Medicare Billing Specialist at HFH. Since then, I've worked in several different areas of Revenue Cycle, but almost always in process improvement/project management type roles. Interestingly, I had initially obtained my CPC certification, and thought coding was the direction I was headed for in healthcare. I obtained a more analytical role at Trinity after HFH, and realized I could apply my newfound coding knowledge/skills to process type work, and I've enjoyed this type of work ever since. Once I returned back to HFH in 2021, it truly felt like I came full circle and back to where I began my journey.

I have seen many changes take place during my career, specifically with vendors, and the solutions they offer via their tools. It's been interesting to see how vendor solutions have transformed and improved, and how healthcare systems have also improved without that external help as well. There will always be change in healthcare, good or bad, and how systems evolve and strategize to keep abreast of those changes is pertinent to their success.
