Firas Abdollah, M.D.

Dr. Firas Abdollah is a senior Urologist at the Vattikuti Urology Institute (VUI) at Henry Ford Hospital, vice-chair for academic and research, and the Director of VUI Center for Outcomes Research Analytics and Evaluation.

Dr. Abdollah received his medical training from Baghdad University, College of Medicine, Baghdad, Iraq. He completed a 5-year residency in Urology at the University Vita-Salute San-Raffaele Hospital in Milan, Italy and also completed an additional 4 years of a clinical and research fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital. Dr.Abdollah specializes in robotic surgery in urology, with a special focus on oncological diseases, such as prostate cancer and kidney cancer.

Dr. Abdollah is an extremely prolific researcher, with more than 300 published peer-reviewed articles, hundreds of abstracts, and several book chapters. His studies focus mainly on prostate cancer, kidney cancer, and bladder cancer. Besides oncology, Dr. Abdollah has studied several health care issues, such as racial disparity in urological care. Several of Dr. Abdollah articles are included in the national and international guidelines.
