What is Connect?

Cancer is the second-leading cause of death in the United States. Learning how to prevent cancer can help reduce the number of people affected.

The Connect for Cancer Prevention Study is a nationwide effort to better understand cancer risk by studying health and behavior over time. By joining, you can help researchers identify patterns that may lead to better prevention for future generations.

Together, we can change the future of cancer prevention.

What can a participant expect?

Participation includes completing online surveys and providing biological samples to help researchers better understand your health over time.

You will:

• Provide blood, urine, and saliva samples at enrollment and every 2–3 years
• Complete surveys about health, lifestyle, and environment
• Share access to your electronic health records (EHRs)

All data is securely protected, and personal identifiers are removed before being shared for research.
Participants who complete all four sections of their initial Connect survey and donate a blood sample will receive a $25 gift card.
Connect is a long-term study, and ongoing participation helps researchers make meaningful discoveries in cancer prevention.

How to join

Getting started is simple:

Visit the MyConnect Participant Website to create an account and begin enrollment.

Once you complete the initial surveys, you’ll receive instructions on the next steps, including sample collection.
