Vascular Surgery Residency

About Our Program

Welcome to the Vascular Surgery Residency Program at Ascension Providence Hospital and affiliated with Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. The sponsoring institution is committed to serving all persons with special attention to those who are poor and vulnerable.

Through a structured balance of clinical care, education, and investigation, the residency provides a fundamental foundation of knowledge and skills in the core surgical disciplines needed to provide compassionate and effective care for the ill and injured patient.

The diffusion of knowledge and wisdom throughout the residency encourages excellence and stewardship with graded responsibility, increased autonomy, and nimble adaptability to grow and advance the discipline during residency and after graduation.

The Vascular Surgery Residency program prepares each candidate to develop and function as a qualified practitioner of vascular surgery at the highest level of performance expected of a board-certified specialist. The program emphasizes the provision of knowledge, performance-based skills, and objective developmental attributes that deliver goal-based and comprehensive training with equal opportunities for all residents.

We look forward to hearing from you.
