Residency Application

Program length:

4 years. Clinical year of preliminary training in an ACGME-accredited institution is required. Transitional year is available at Henry Ford Providence Rochester / Wayne State University through joint Advanced/Preliminary NRMP match.

Available Positions:

There are four positions available for each academic year. Maturity, competency and special achievements are carefully considered. All candidates are selected through ERAS applications and NRMP match Program.

Application:

We accept allopathic and osteopathic applicants who have passed USMLE Step 1; Step 2 completion prior to application is preferable. Application submission prior to October 1 is suggested.

Interviews:

Interviews are generally conducted from late October through early January.

Program Accreditation:

Our diagnostic radiology residency program is fully accredited.

Early Specialization in Interventional Radiology

1-2 residents from each class may be selected for the Early Specialization in Interventional Radiology (ESIR) pathway. ESIR curriculum includes rotations with Vascular Surgery and Neurointerventional services and takes advantage of additional IR case volume at the Ascension Providence Novi campus.

Elective rotations are available for students from affiliated medical schools:

MSUCHM, MSUCOM, WSU, AUC

Rotations may be restricted to student based in or residing in Michigan.
