Curriculum

Year One

• Orthopedic Surgery – 6 four-week blocks
• Emergency Medicine – 1 four-week block
• Musculoskeletal Imaging – 1 four-week block
• Surgical Intensive Care Unit – 2 four-week block on days 
• Vascular Surgery - 1 four-week block
• Spine  – 1 six-week block
• Anesthesiology – 2 weeks
• Rheumatology – 2 weeks

Year Two

• Eight months of rotations with assigned Orthopedic Attendings at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital
• Three months of Ortho Nights
• One month Research/Scholarly Activity

Year Three

• Five months of rotations with assigned Orthopedic Attendings at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital
• Four months Pediatric Exposure at Manning Family Children's Hospital in New Orleans, LA
• Two months Ortho Trauma at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, MI

Year Four

• Two months elective
• Ten months of rotations with assigned Orthopedic Attendings at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital

Year Five

• Two months Spine Surgery at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital
• Ten months of rotations with assigned Orthopedic Attendings at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital

(The last 6 months of year five is spent at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital per program guidelines.)
