About our Hospital

Established in 1926, today we staff a 322-bed acute care hospital that is a designated level 3 trauma center and offers a full range of clinical services, including general medicine, surgery, a birthing center, 24-hour emergency care, adult mental health services, neurosurgical services, physical therapy and rehabilitation, oncology services, and a state of the art cardiac catheter lab.

Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital is one of the biggest employers with more than 2,300 employees in the cozy downriver city of Wyandotte, located just 15 miles south of Detroit.

We take pride in teaching future healthcare providers in a community hospital setting with added select experiences from out mothership, Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Our ACGME/CPME Accredited programs offer rotations to residents, and medical students.

Graduate Medical Education Office

The Graduate Medical Education Office serves as a “human resource office” specifically for Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital residents. The office supports all onboarding, orientation, and resident credentialing as you arrive.

All applicants to the Ob/GYN, Emergency Medicine, and General Surgery programs must apply through ERAS. Podiatry resident applicants must apply through CASPR.
