Cancer Survivorship: Achieving Improved Health to Reduce the Risk of Recurrence
This 5-week education session, open to post-active treatment cancer survivors and their caregivers, features the most up to date science and research about how to improve your health and reduce your risk for cancer recurrence. Each week will feature one of 5 topics: survivorship care plans, healthy nutrition, staying active, mindfulness, and monitoring your labs.
About the presenter: Dr. Carmen Stokes, PhD, FNP-BC, CNE is the coordinator of the Henry Ford SM Gavini Center for Cancer Prevention (Southfield, Novi), where she leads initiatives focused on preventing cancer and reducing the risk of recurrence. With over 31 years of experience in healthcare, Dr. Stokes is committed to empowering patients and making cancer prevention information accessible, engaging, and impactful.
Group meets virtually Thursday mornings, June 5 - July 3, 2025, 11:00am-12:00pm.
