Relaxing Meditation
While the use of meditation and breathing exercises are not an alternative treatment or cure for cancer, they have been shown to help people with cancer manage stress, anxiety and pain. This relaxing meditation session focuses on mindfulness, awareness, and restoration of strength, and your instructor will help you learn to respect your body’s capacity while expanding physical wellbeing.
Henry Ford Cancer has partnered with the International Institute of Yoga Therapy to offer free virtual Relaxing Meditation for cancer patients, survivors, and their caregivers or family members. Small groups will be led by externs and fellows completing their post-graduate education.
Once you register for a date, the virtual link will be emailed to you a day or two before the session.
