Daily Visual Journal: Art Therapy Session

Art TherapyEach session we will create a self-care journal that incorporates images, color, texture, and words to uniquely capture your personal expressions.

Each technique is followed by a self-reflection prompt for you to think about and write about on the backside of your visual journal. These sessions give you techniques to experiment with, however your journal is your place for you to discover yourself and your visual voice. Each class is a stand-alone class, so you are welcome to join one or all 4 sessions.

Supplies needed:
paper, pencil, colored pencils, markers (optional), magazine images, scissors, glue stick

No online registration.

6/7/23 - Doodle
A doodle can be simple and satisfying. A quick expression of your day or mood using lines or shapes.

6/14/23 - Pocket
Pockets can be a safe place to hold something important. Learn various ways to create a pocket in your visual journal.

6/21/23 - Collage
Collage can be so many things and represent so many ideas. Use this simple technique to express your feelings for the day.

6/28/23 - Negative Space
When drawing negative space you are focusing on the spaces in between the actual objects. Practice seeing things from a different perspective.
