129226-kag-2510Henry Hits the Road for Research

“Henry” is taking research on the road to help build awareness and excitement about the All of Us Research Program. This traveling mobile unit actively engages community members to join this landmark research project that will accelerate research and improve health.

About Henry, the All of Us mobile unit

The mobile unit is a 39-foot bus with 2 patient rooms, waiting area, and bathroom. Inside there are medical refrigerators that store the bio-samples of participants that enroll onsite.

Henry's specially trained staff help the All of Us Research Program investigators conduct research and recruitment efforts for the program in Metro Detroit. Henry, the All of Us mobile unit makes it possible for enrollment to be conducted among underserved populations who otherwise may not hear about the program or be involved in research, such as:

  • College students
  • Disability Community
  • Elderly
  • Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning and Intersex (LGBTQI) Community
  • Racial and Ethnic Minorities
  • Rural Communities

How it works

The on-board All of Us Research Program team gives individuals an opportunity for engagement, to ask questions, and to enroll on-site. Henry's mobile lab can collect blood and urine samples, as well as physical measurements so participants are able to fully enroll in the All of Us Research Program.

To request a visit from Henry, the All of Us mobile unit, at your location, please contact AllofUs@hfhs.org or call (844) 893-3908 (option 1).

*Please note: the Henry Ford Health All of Us Research Program is purely research, not medicine. The All of Us Research Program does not conduct healthcare services such as COVID-19 screenings, flu shots, vaccines, immunizations, health check-ups, etc. on the HENRY All of Us Mobile Unit. HENRY is solely used to support the All of Us Research Program’s enrollment efforts. HENRY primarily operates on weekdays with limited availability on Saturdays.
