Our medical education program gives you access to many doctors who bring a wide range of expertise to your care. Your medical team might include:

• Residents: Doctors who have completed medical school and are pursuing further training. Residents train for two to seven years, depending on their specialty. 
• Fellows: Physicians pursuing advanced training in the specialties of pulmonary and critical care medicine. Fellows have already completed their postgraduate residency period after medical school.
• Attending physicians: Pulmonary Senior Staff physicians with expertise in pulmonary and critical care medicine. These doctors have completed a residency and fellowship. Henry Ford’s staff physicians treat patients and teach newer physicians in our medical education program.
