Michael Harrison MD PhDMichael is a dual Canadian and American citizen from the east coast of Canada. He lives in Farmington Hills, MI with his wife, Sara, and their two young boys. His background and interests are extremely varied – he has a doctorate in exercise physiology and advanced statistics; he has a master’s degree in hyperbaric medicine and is a NITROX certified rescue diver; he is a research associate in Mayo Clinic’s Aerospace Medicine Department and is involved in research projects with NASA; he is a three-time Ironman finisher, a former junior hockey player, and a guitar player / builder. He recently joined Tieös Pharmaceuticals, an upstart pharmaceutical company with an innovative focus on the metabolic derangements associated with cancer. Michael hopes the Davidson Fellowship will provide translational skills and experiences that he can use in his current and future business ventures.
