Amanda Wigand, MS
Amanda is a graduate of Northern Michigan University, where I completed both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in biology. Towards the end of my Master’s program, I knew that I wanted to work within the research community, but more specifically, with patients.
She began at Henry Ford as a clinical coordinator working on IBD and hepatology studies. After a few years, I transitioned to the Clinical Trials Office, working on neuro-oncology studies. Serving as a clinical coordinator was one of the most rewarding experiences of my career thus far. Being able to assist patients with novel therapies is something I will always treasure.
Currently, I am a Project Manager for the clinical trails management system, OnCore. I have worked with HFCI over the last three years to implement this system within their department. I enjoy being able to further peoples knowledge around clinical trials and best practices for research. I am always looking for ways to optimize workflows and provide strong knowledge foundations for researchers at HFH.
