Healthcare career development

Henry Ford Apprenticeship Programs empower students and other job seekers with skills and credentials that pave their way to future healthcare careers. As a Henry Ford apprentice, team members gain valuable hands-on experience under the direction of a supervisor—while getting paid to learn. Numerous apprenticeship programs are available in Detroit.

Readying Youth Scientists for Excellence in Medicine, Health Equity and Discovery (RYSE MED) is a free, health equity and healthcare career program for high school students. Based at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, the program supports students in exploring healthcare clinical and research careers.

The Henry Ford Department of Surgery High School Mentorship Program is open to any Detroit-area high school student interested in a career in medicine, or learning about other career paths.

Behavioral health

For community members in the New Center and greater Detroit region, our Behavioral Health team at One Ford Place in Detroit offers care for a variety of conditions. Our experienced team of physicians and licensed psychotherapists provide psychiatric evaluation, medication management, as well as individual, family or group therapy for patients of all ages.

Mother and baby care

Henry Ford Health and Michigan State University are committed to enhancing care in the community and investing in research to reduce disparities in illness and death during pregnancy and postpartum.
