HFJH Al Glick Health Care Camp
Thanks to a generous gift from the Al Glick Scholars Endowment Fund, Henry Ford Jackson Hospital (HFJH), in partnership with the Jackson Area Career Center (JACC), is hosting our fourth annual summer day camp free of cost for thirty (30) Jackson area students currently in grades 6th – 9th.
The 2026 HFJH Al Glick Healthcare Camp takes place Monday, June 15, through Friday, June 19. This unique day camp experience provides students with an opportunity to:
- Participate in hands on activities related to healthcare careers
- Learn about the healthcare careers in the following departments and more:
- Womens and Children’s Services
- Graduate Medical Education (GME)
- Lab and Diagnostics
- Respiratory Therapy
- Surgical Services
- Physical Therapy
- Sports Medicine
- Behavioral Health
- Security
- Community Engagement & Health
- Nutrition Services
- Community Engagement
- Learn more about the healthcare related careers from our following partners and more:
- JACC Health Technician Program
- JACC Firefighting and EMS Program
- Grow Jackson
- Jackson Police Department
- J-DART
- Medstar LifeFlight
- Summit Township Fire Department
Every student participant must receive all vaccinations and testing required by Henry Ford Health’s compliance standards. Please, view the “Vaccination Checklist” below to ensure all vaccinations and testing is administered within the correct timeframe.
We are also in search of eight (8) Jackson area High School Juniors or Seniors, or College students to volunteer as camp counselors during the week of camp.
