Biographical Statement:
Dr. Aaron Hamann, PsyD is a senior staff psychologist in the behavioral health unit of Henry Ford Health System’s multidisciplinary Bariatric Program.
Dr. Hamann received his B.A. in Clinical Psychology from Pennsylvania State University and his M.S. and Doctorate of Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Florida. He completed his pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at a residential treatment center. Dr. Hamann currently provides supervision in the resident training program in the Henry Ford Health System.
He was a program director for a residential facility in the Washington D.C. area before joining Henry Ford Health System in 2016. Dr. Hamann and his team currently provide pre-surgery psychological evaluations, follow-ups, and support groups for bariatric patients.
He provides assessment and therapeutic interventions utilizing evidence-based treatments modalities in inpatient, residential, PHP, IOP and outpatient environments. With over 10 years of experience specializing in eating disorders, Dr. Hamann has extensive knowledge on the best ways to help treat and assist his patients.

My research interests include Bariatric Surgery, Eating Disorders, & Obesity.
