Deirdre Salanger, MHA

Vice President, Operations, Henry Ford Hospital

As Vice President of Operations, Deirdre Salanger, MHA provides administrative oversight and business operations of utilization management, admissions and transfers, hospital support services, surgical services, and cardiac catheterization and EP labs. She oversees all capital and construction projects, including campus expansion, as well as strategic planning impacting Henry Ford Hospital. 

Deirdre joined Henry Ford in 2019 at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital, also serving as the VP of Operations. While in Wyandotte, she partnered on the redesign and expansion of 25,000 square feet of multispecialty outpatient clinics, including a system capital allocation to support key program development efforts.

She began her career with Johns Hopkins Medicine as an Administrative Fellow and held a variety of roles, most recently serving as the administrative director of the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center. Deirdre received her Master of Health Administration from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York and her Bachelor of Science from Binghamton University in Binghamton, New York.

Outside of Henry Ford, Deirdre has served as a board member for the Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
