About Me

Dr. Emily Heins graduated from Michigan College of Optometry in 2016. She completed her BS in Vision Science at Ferris State University and is also a Walled Lake Western High School alum. Her clinical rotations included John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, the University Eye Center at Ferris State, and Henry Ford OptimEyes. Dr. Heins has been in practice since 2016, joining HFO West Bloomfield after graduation. She is also an assistant clinical professor for Michigan College of Optometry. Dr. Heins enjoys caring for patients of all ages, including those needing primary eye care, contact lenses, diabetic eye care, and the treatment of ocular disease. In her spare time, Dr. Heins enjoys traveling, playing softball and golf, biking, reading, and spending time with her husband, their family and friends, and their Wheaten Terrier.
